Activities



The Partnership is a coalition made up of a broad span of community systems (i.e. corporate, education, political, faith based, criminal justice, municipalities, human service agencies, neighborhoods, medical, media). The coalition works to develop and implement science based substance abuse prevention strategies

Activities that characterize the Partnership
include, but are not limited to:

The development, coordination, and facilitation of alcohol/drug prevention programs and services

The creation and support of prevention infrastructures (i.e. in the environment, within organizations, individual, etc.)

Facilitating activities that reduce the demand for alcohol and other drugs

Increasing awareness of the problems and issues involved in substance abuse

Promoting resident mobilization

Increasing collaboration between residents and service providers

Explaining and/or reducing the mixed messages given by society as it pertains to alcohol/drug use
